Craftsman 11072 Power Tool Battery Tips
Are aftermarket Craftsman 11072 Batteries Compatible to My Craftsman 11072 Charger?
Aftermarket power tool batteries were designed to work with your original Craftsman 11072 battery charger. Most of our power tool batteries are made with the same Japanese battery cells used in OEM batteries. Aftermarket batteries are designed to original manufacturer’s specifications, and will meet or exceed original Craftsman 11072 batteries and not void manufacturer’s warranty.
How can I maximize the performance of my Craftsman 11072 battery?
There are several steps you can take to help you get maximum performance from your power tool battery:
Prevent the Memory Effect - Keep the power tool battery healthy by fully charging and then fully discharging it at least once every two to three weeks. Exceptions to the rule are Li-Ion batteries which do not suffer from the memory effect.
Keep the Craftsman 11072 Batteries Clean - It's a good idea to clean dirty battery contacts with a cotton swab and alcohol. This helps maintain a good connection between the battery and the portable device.
Do not leave the battery for long periods of time without using it. Optimumly you would use the battery at least once every two to three weeks.
If you don't plan on using the drill battery for a month or more, store it in a clean, dry, cool place away from heat and metal objects.
If my original power tool battery is a NiCD battery, can I use a different chemistry battery?
Depending on both your charger and power tool you might be able use different chemistries. A lot of chargers will charge NiMH batteries. It is best to check your user manual or contact the manufacture to find out the technical specs of your model.
Can I prolong the life of my battery?
There are several things you can do to help extend the life of your battery. First thing is to store it separate from the tool in which it belongs to. Do not leave it in the charger when it is fully charged. Keep it in a fairly consistent temperature.
